Spirits and choices
Every reading of the cards is an exercise in figuring out what the trade off is for the ambivalent mind. I’m reading the unique Carolus Zoya cards dating back three centuries, while sipping a very flavored rum. This spirit seems to know the other spirits in the room. Etteilla’s Star spread, also dating back three centuries, speaks of the trade off involved in wishful thinking, the kind that relies on a strong heart for a strong choice.
I’m celebrating Choices, the third book in the Fine Print Editions series with EyeCorner Press that’s all about killing it with the cards, ‘Read like the Devil’ style, the higher octave, to launch in June. The point is that we are never done with thinking with the cards, as they are so much better than thinking with anything or anyone else.
Although the book focuses on 6-card draws, 3 cards for each of the standard two options we normally have available, Etteilla’s Star here says the following: instead of making an offer, make a deal. Instead of working hard, work smart.
Choices galore…
